Spinal Manipulation Therapy enhances motion (including articular surface separation), function, and/or reduces pain by releasing pressure in your affected joints, aligning muscles and joints, and improving blood circulation to maintain and restore health.

This therapy uses mobilization and manipulation techniques to help restore full movements to restricted joints, as well as normal elasticity to muscles and soft tissues. Restoring mechanical and soft tissue balance benefits the structure of the entire body and physiological mechanisms.

Flexion and Distraction Therapy is research documented spinal manipulation to relieve lower back pain, disc herniation, spinal stenosis, facet syndrome, and chronic post-surgical pain.  And it allows for a gentle spinal decompression of herniated or ruptured discs to rapidly reduce the bulge (herniation) and relieve painful pressure on spinal nerves. This relieves spinal pain by decreasing intradiscal pressure, widening spinal canal foraminal, reducing pressure on spinal nerves, and returning motion to the spinal joints.

Non-surgical spinal Decompression Therapy is achieved through the use of a mechanical traction device applied through an on-board computer that controls the force and angle of disc distraction, which reduces the body’s natural propensity to resist external force and/or generate muscle spasms.

The theory behind spinal decompression is that significant distractive forces can create a negative pressure in the center of the intervertebral disc, thereby creating a suctioning effect or vacuum phenomenon in order to retract or reduce the size of the herniated or bulging disc’s gelatinous internal nucleus pulposus. This diminishes or eliminates nerve compression, while at the same time creating an osmotic gradient, which brings nutrients and water into the disc.

Kinesio Taping method is a definitive rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. It provides extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting.

Latex-free and wearable for days at a time, Kinesio Tex Tape is safe for all ages, and successfully treats variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, neurological, and other medical conditions. By targeting different receptors within the somatosensory system, taping alleviates pain and facilitates lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin. Such lifting forms convolutions in the skin and increases interstitial space and reduces inflammation in the affected areas.

Therapeutic Exercise is bodily movements prescribed to correct impairments and improve musculoskeletal functions, or to maintain a state of well-being. It may be highly selected activities restricted to specific muscles or parts of the body. The purpose of therapeutic exercise is to return patients to their peak physical conditions.

Manual Therapy is defined as a clinical approach utilizing skilled, specific hands-on techniques, including but not limited to manipulation/mobilization.  And it is used by the physical therapist to diagnose and treat soft tissues and joint structures for the following purposes: modulating pain, increasing range of motion (ROM), reducing or eliminating soft tissue inflammation, inducing relaxation, improving contractile and noncontractile tissue repair, extensibility, and/or stability, facilitating movement and improving function.
