Thomas Cho, L.Ac MSTOM

Thomas Cho, L.Ac MSTOM earned his degree from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City. He continued his studies in Chinese Herbology at the Pacific College of Health and Science.

Since he was young, Thomas always had an interest in the healthcare field, especially in the rehabilitation department. He started his journey in high school volunteering at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. This road in the healthcare field has eventually led him to New York City (where dreams are made of) to study and to become the greatest Acupuncturist in the greater New York (City) area.

Throughout his studies, Thomas was fortunate enough to learn various styles of Acupuncture practiced all over the world. He trained under master practitioners from Korea, China, and Japan. He has trained for several years under the world renowned Japanese Acupuncturist, Kiiko Matsumoto. He also trained and worked for five years under master practitioner Dr. Heo Chung Chung who specializes in Sa Am Five-Element Korean Acupuncture. Thomas has extensive knowledge and experience in Acupuncture Physical Medicine which is a western style of Sports Medicine Acupuncture that combines the Classical Chinese Acupuncture with trigger point releases (tight bands of muscle fibers).

Thomas believes that each type of Acupuncture has its unique characteristics and benefits. However, through extensive comparative research he has found that Five-Element Korean Acupuncture to be extremely powerful and effective. While he uses the most appropriate style according to each patient’s need, Five-Element Korean Acupuncture is alwaysincorporated in his treatments.

Thomas believes that in order to successfully treat a patient the root of the problem firstneeds to be addressed. Sa Am Five-Element Korean Acupuncture targets the root whicheradicates the symptoms. He believes that by incorporating this style of Acupuncture it willallow the patient to have a faster and lasting recovery. Thomas has experience and specialinterest in treating patients with musculoskeletal issues (neck, shoulder, back, knee), eyedisorders, respiratory problems, skin disorders, fertility issues, gastrointestinal conditions,psychological issues, allergies, and weight loss/ detox.
